Say to those who are of a fearful heart, "Be strong, fear not!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God.
He will come and save you." Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then shall the lame man leap like a
hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing for joy. For waters shall break
forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert; the burning sand
shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water(from Isaiah
35:4-7) I when I heard this reading a few weeks ago it got me thinking
about a story a friend of mine told me. She is one of those fine ladies
that quietly does things for the church like washing the towels and
linens from the masses. So most know that you are to soak the linens and
pour the water into the ground so that you are putting the blood and
body of Christ in the drain. She had a great idea of pouring this water
on her dead peach tree in her back yard. Long story, the tree bares
fruit and now takes over the back yard. We as Knight should be pouring
ourselves onto others so they could flourish and open the ears of the
deaf. We Knights are a giving group of men, but have you given of
yourself to the deaf and blind?
Hard to believe that is fall
already and we will be wearing winter coats soon. The reason I wanted to
mention the season change is we are doing our annual
Pies by the Guys
again this year. This has become a great fund raiser for the council
that was bought to the council from our brother Don McComb. We are able
to fund the coats for kids program because of this fund raiser.
